FATHER OF TWO CHOPPED TO DEATH WHEN FEED MIXER IS TURNED ON
Kinzer, Pa. — Thirty-year-old John Herr of the Oxford community was chopped to death recently when caught inside a portable feed mill which was turned on accidentally.
It is believed Herr entered the mill because of clogging when a co-worker inadvertently turned it on. The mill was immediately driven to Oxford where a rescue squad required two hours to removed the body, cutting the hopper apart with an acetylene torch.
Survivors include his wife and two small children.
