HENRY M. HEPPNER

Henry M. Heppner passed away Mar. 2. He was born Dec. 10, 1895 to Anton and Pauline Heppner of Laird, Sask. Six months later they moved to the Springfield School District, where he grew up. In 1914 he received the Lord, was baptized and joined Salem Krimmer MB Church. He married Agatha Epp Oct. 30, 1917. Her parents moved to Waldheim, Sask. and the newlyweds stayed on the farm. In 1960 they joined Waldheim MB Church. In 1963 they retired from the farm and moved to Clearbrook, B.C., joining Clearbrook MB Church. Agatha passed away June 8, 1972. He married Katherina Born at Clearbrook MB Church Dec. 10, 1972. In January, 1984 he moved to Tabor Home, later joined by Katherina. She died in March, 1986. He moved to Valleyview Hospital in New Westminster, B.C. May 21, 1987 and to Alouette Extended Care Unit in Maple Ridge, B.C. June 4, 1990. Predeceased by 4 grandchildren, he is survived by sons Elmer, Art and Wilfred of Waldheim, Clarence of Maple Ridge and Harold of Waldheim; daughters Margret Junkin of Peterborough, Ont., Mathilde Thiessen of St. Catharines and Vonda Bergen of Saskatoon; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 1 sister. The funeral was Mar. 7 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, with J.E. Klassen and Henry H. Epp ministering.
