Kenneth Howard Helms

Kenneth Howard Helms, son of Myrtle and Wm. Francis Helms, was born at Moundridge, Kansas, September 21, 1937. To hm was given the privilege to spread cheer and sunshine in the home but for a short time, for it pleased the heavenly father to call him to his heavenly home in the tender years of his childhood.

On Wednesday morning at 3:00 o'clock he suddenly became sick with a form of infantile paralysis. He departed this life early on Thursday morning, September 28, 1939, at the Bethel Hospital of Newton, Kansas, at the age of two years and seven days.

By his lively and cheerful disposition she [sic] endeared himself to the hearts of those about him, and his winsome smile won him many friends.

Those who mourn his early departure are his deeply grieving parents, his sister Darleen, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Auernheimer and Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Helms, and many other friends and relatives.

Ere sin could blight or sorrow fade
     Death came with friendly care;
The opening bud to heaven conveyed,
     And bade him blossom there.
