MRS. DORA HEINTZ

Dora Heintz, daughter of the late John and Mary Beller, was born March 28, 1899 near Graymont, Ill.; passed away Jan. 2, 1956, at her home in Chicago, Ill.

She accepted Christ as her Saviour in her youth and became a member of the Waldo Mennonite Church, Flanagan, Ill., later transferring her membership to the Chicago Home Mission where she was an active and able worker as long as her health permitted.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her husband, Henry R., one son, Glenwood, at home; seven sisters, Mrs. Katie Orendorff and Mrs. Mary Yordy of Flanagan, Mrs. Elizabeth Grieser of Pontiac, Ill., Mrs. Barbara Middleton of San Bernadino [sic Bernardino], Calif., Mrs. Lena Hartzler of Elkhart, Ind., Mrs. Emma Roeschley and Mrs. Lovina Roeschley of Graymont, Ill.; and one brother, William Beller, Graymont, Ill.

On Wednesday, Dec. 28, the Lord seemed to grant to her special vision of the next life. As her pastor read from Revelation 21 she remarked, "Oh! I see such a beautiful panarama [sic] of the things God has prepared. I have never seen it like this before." Later she remarked that although she had seen many of the beautiful things of creation in the U. S. and Canada it was nothing to compare with what she was seeing of the things that God prepared. She called "mother" and mentioned the name of her brother; both of whom preceded her in death. Finally Sister Heintz said, "All I can seem to think of is, Even so come, Lord Jesus!" She went to death as a child falls asleep in it's mother's arms.

The family and members of the Chicago Home Mission are grateful to Christ that He allowed the curtains of eternity to be pinned back just a little for a little glimpse into the marvels of heaven, through the passing of His child.

Funeral services were held in Chicago Jan. 4 with Laurence Horst officiating and in Flanagan Jan. 5 with Edwin Stalter and J. D. Hartzler officiating with assistance from Pastor L. Horst. Interment was made in the Pike Cemetery near Flanagan, Ill.
