PETER C. HEINRICHS

Our brother-in-law and uncle, Peter C. Heinrichs, was born on January 4, 1874, in Marienthal, South Russia, and came with his parents, Dr. Cornelius Heinrichs and Helena Unruh Heinrichs, to this country in 1876. He was a life-long resident of the Henderson, Neb. community, living on a farm northwest of Henderson and later in the village of Henderson.

He was baptized upon his confession of faith in Jesus Christ, on May 25, 1896, by Elder Peter J. Friesen, and received as a member into the Bethesda Mennonite church where he remained a faithful member to the end. He was united in marriage with Margaretha Wall on April 20, 1900. After 45 years of married life together, his wife preceded him in death on May 3, 1945.

He suffered from a diabetic condition for many years, causing other physical complimations [sic] and finally death. On Saturday morning, July 25, 1953, death ushered him into his final resting place. He reached the age of 79 years, six months, and 21 days.

One brother, Abraham C. Heinrichs, preceded him in death on August 2, 1942. He leaves to mourn his departure: five, brothers-in-law, C I. Wall of Abbotsford, British Columbia. Henry G. Wall, Hillsboro, Kansas, Peter G. Wall and George B. Neufeld of Mountain Lake, Minn. and David Hiebert of Norfolk, Nebraska; six sisters-in-law, Mrs. Anna Heinrichs, Henderson, Nebraska, Mrs. David Schmidt, Portland, Oregon, Mrs. Isaac Wall, Dallas, Oregon, Mrs. George B. Neufeld and Mrs. Peter G. Wall of Mountain Lake, Minn., Mrs. Henry G. Wall, Hillsboro, Kansas; nephews, nieces and friends.
