DAVID D. HEIDEBRECHT

David D. Heidebrecht was born on December 23, 1910 at Marienthal, Sagradowka . He went to be with the Lord on May 4 after several years of poor health . In 1929 he moved with his family to Canada , settling at Tofield, Alta. Two years later he received Christ and was baptized into the Mennonite Brethren Church . He married Katie Martens in 1937 and they moved to Lindbrook Alta., where they helped organize a Mennonite Brethren church. The Heidebrechts moved to Abbotsford, B .C. in 1947. He gained his livelihood through mixed farming and carpentry . Leaving his farm in 1958, they moved to Clearbrook and joined the Clearbrook Church. He served the Lord joyfully there and later returned to the South Abbotsford Church, where several of his children fellowship . He was faithful to the end and the family looks forward to meeting him in the presence of Christ. He leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Katie; two sons, Vern of San Jose , California, and George of Clearbrook; three daughters , (Mrs.) Rosa Toews of Toronto, (Mrs.) Agnes Ratzlaff of Abbotsford, and Ruth of Clearbrook; a brother, Abram, and a sister, Mrs. John Rempel; and many relatives and friends.
