SPENCER DUERKSEN HEIDE

Spencer Duerksen Heide was born Oct. 11, 1990 to Bob and Rose Heide in Brandon , Man. After a traumatic birth, he was diagnosed as having a rare genetic disorder called Hypophosphatasia. He spent his first three weeks in St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. His parents and siblings, Amy, Clarke and Leah, then enjoyed having him home for a week. On Nov. 12 he was readmitted to hospital for tests. He came home for his last day and died Nov. 17 in his father 's arms, surrounded by family and friends. The funeral was Nov. 21 at Lakeview MB Church, Killarney, Man. Donations in his memory purchased a chair for the St. Boniface Hospital.
