I. J. HARTZLER

Irvin J. Hartzler, son of the late Benjamin F. and Rebecca (King) Hartzler, was born April 19, 1896, in Cass County, Mo. He departed this life at his home near Pryor, Okla., July 27, 1967, at the age of 71 years, three months, eight days.

He accepted Jesus as his Saviour at the age of 15 and was faithful to Him till death.

He moved to Mayes County, Okla., with his parents in 1911. On Mar. 7, 1914 he was untied in marriage to Susie Sutter. He was ordained into the ministry in March of 1919 and served the Zion congregation faithfully as deacon and interim pastor for over 45 years.

He is survived by his wife Susie; five sons, Frank, Clarence, N. Y., Fred, Rochester, N. Y., Roy, Smithville, Mo., Ralph, Clarence, N. y., and Glade, Baltic, Ohio; one daughter, Edith (Mrs. Henry Helmethh), Adair, Okla.; 25 grandchildren and four sisters, Emma (Mrs. Chris Scheffel), Halsey, Ore., Ada (Mrs. John Sutter), Portland, Ore., Ida (Mrs. Johnathan [sic Jonathan] Zook), Canby, Ore. and Erma Hartzler, also of Portland.

His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
