DANA HARTZLER

Dana Hartzler, 80, of Route 1, Topeka, Ind., a lifetime resident and farmer of that area, died March 12 of Greencroft Nursing Center, Goshen, Ind. where he had been admitted a day earlier. He had previously been confined to LaGrange County Hospital for two weeks suffering from pneumonia.

Dana was born April 12, 1893 in LaGrange County. He married Dorothy Zimmerman of Harper, Kan. on Oct. 11, 1919. She died June 1, 1963.

Surviving are two sons, Nolen and Cleo, both of Topeka; a daughter, Mrs. Leonard (Carolyn) Leichty of Auburn, Ind.; six grandchildren; a brother, Leland Hartzler, Goshen; and two step-sisters, Mrs. Ernest Patterson and Mrs. Clarence Metzer, both of Milford, Ind. A daughter, Marilyn Hartzler, died in 1968.

Dana had a concern for his family, friends, neighbors, and his church. He was a member of the Maple Grove Mennonite Church, Topeka, where services were held on March 15, with Rev. Joe Swartz officiating. Burial was made in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
