● Funeral services were conducted at the Peterson Funeral Home here Thursday, Aug. 27 for Peter F. Harms, 80, who died Aug. 25 at Hooker, Okla. Rev. Arnold Epp officiated, and burial was made in the Grace hill Cemetery. Mr. Harms, a retired farmer, was born at Whitewater and spent his boyhood in the Grace Hill community where he was a member of the Grace Hill Mennonite Church. Mrs. Esther Andres of Newton is a niece.

PETER F. HARMS

Peter F. Harms was born near Whitewater, Kan. on May 25, 1882, the son of Mary and John Harms. He grew to manhood in Kansas, then with his mother and brothers he moved to Hooker, Okla. He filed on some land northeast of Hooker and spent his adult life on the farm there. About one year ago he moved to Optima, just west of Hooker.

He passed away suddenly Aug. 25, 1964 in Hooker. He had been in good health. He attained the age of 82 years and three months.

He leaves nephews and nieces: Walter Harms, nephew, son of A. N. Harms, now deceased; and the eight children of his deceased sister Eva Foth, Ruth Baergen, Linda Schroeder, Walter H. Foth, Reuben Foth, Esther Andres, Adolph Foth, Mary Foth and Alma Schroy.
