SUSIE KOEHN HARMS

Susie (Koehn) Harms was born at Pawnee Rock, Kan. on Dec. 29, 1885, and died in Fairview, Okla. Hospital on Dec. 27, 1965 at the age of 80 years less two days.

On March 8, 1906 she was married to Andrew Schroeder at Greensburg, Kan. On Oct. 16, 1909 her husband died leaving her a widow with four children. While living at Galva, Kan. she was converted and became a member of the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. In 1917 she was baptized by Minister Benjamin Becker. Later she was married to George Harms, and a son was born to them.

She went through many hardships. She spent the last 15 years of her life with her youngest son near Cleo Springs, Okla. In her later years she was a diabetic and spent the last several weeks in the hospital. Death was caused by a cerebral hemorrhage.

Mother sought to serve her Lord and Saviour as best she could even though at times with many struggles. She has left us with an assurance of salvation and we hope to meet here in Heaven.

She leaves two daughters, Iva (Mrs. Dorcey Eicher) of Walnut Hill, Fla. and Edna (Mrs. Menno Buller) of Livingston, Calif.; one son, Leo Harms of Cleo Springs, Okla.; 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Louis Koehn of Vancouver, Wash. and Henry Koehn of Pawnee Rock, Kan.; and five sisters, Mrs. Lizze [sic Lizzie] Koehn, Mrs. Pauline Blowers, Mrs. Milinda [sic Malinda] Mitchell, Miss Grace Koehn, all of California, and Mrs. Adena Adams, Wichita, Kan. Two sons and eight grandchildren receded [sic] her in death. — The Family.
