RETIRED FARMER KILLED IN HIGHWAY CRASH
SERVICES HELD AT CORN, OKLAHOMA FOR HENRY HARMS, 63
Corn, Okla. — Funeral services were held at the Mennonite Brethren church here Aug. 1 for Henry Harms, 63-year-old retired farmer of this community who was fatally injured in a highway crash near Weatherford on Monday evening, July 28.
Mr. Harms was returning home from Weatherford and attempted to turn off of Highway 66 when his car collided with one coming from the opposite direction. He died a short time after the crash.
A Detroit, Mich. couple was in the other car, and both were seriously hurt. Both cars were demolished.
Mr. Harms was born in Samara, Russia and as a young man came to Hillsboro, Kan. with his parents. The family later moved to a farm northwest of Corn.
He is survived by his wife and four children, Ogen and Leo of Corn, Barney of Oklahoma City, and Mrs. Gladys Schmidt of Norman.
