John Hamm of Paso Robles, Calif., son of John Hamm, Sr. and Catherine Isaac Hamm, was born in Beatrice, Neb. July 22, 1891. He passed away at his home April 7, 1962 at the age of 70 years, eight months, and 15 days.

He came to California with his parents when he was seven years of age. The family settled in Adelaide but after some years moved to the Willow Creek area.

Upon accepting the Lord as his Saviour in his youth, he was baptized upon the confession of his faith on June 7, 1908, by the late Rev. F. F. Jantzen and became an active member of the Willow Creek Mennonite Church. His pastor wrote Hosea 2:19, 20 into his baptismal certificate.

On April 11, 1918 he was married to Anna Dyck and they enjoyed almost 44 years of wedded bliss.

He is survived by his wife, Anna; one son, Elmer Hamm of Paso Robles; two daughters, Velma, Mrs. Gerhard Hamm of Templeton, and Dorothy, Mrs. John Claassen of San Luis Obispo; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Henry Claassen and Mrs. Henry Wiebe of Paso Robles. His brother, Frank and two sisters, Mrs. John Bergman and Mrs. John Dueck, preceded him in death.

A faithful, loving husband, a father and a friend has suddenly been called away from us into the presence of his Savior and Lord.

JOHN HAMM

John Hamm of Paso Robles, Calif., son of John Hamm, Sr. and Catherine Isaac Hamm, was born in Beatrice, Neb. July 22, 1891. He passed away at his home April 7, 1962 at the age of 70 years, eight months, and 15 days.

He came to California with his parents when he was seven years of age. The family settled in Adelaide but after some years moved to the Willow Creek area.
