Orville J. Gunden, 70, died Aug. 17, at Goshen General Hospital, where he had been a patient five days for surgery. He was a member of the College Mennonite Church, the former Menno Singers, Evening Exchange Club and Builders Association of Elkhart County. A memorial service was held at College Mennonite Church, with James Waltner, pastor, and Virgil Gerig officiating.

Goshen Land Developer Dies Follwing Surgery

Goshen, Ind. — Well-known land developer Orville J. Gunden, 70, died Aug. 17 in Goshen General Hospital, where he was a patient five days. He had undergone surgery.

He retired from Creative Construction Co. in 1979. He was a member of the former Menno Singers, Builders Association of Elkhart County and College Mennonite Church.

Surving [sic] are his wife, Anne; a daughter, Sandra (Mrs. Brian) Kennedy of Mt. Clemens, Mich.; two grandchildren, four sisters and four brothers.

A memorial service was held Aug. 19 at College Mennonite Church, with James Waltner and Virgil Gerig officiating. Burial was in Violett Cemetery.
