— According to an item from the Freeman Courier "the John J. C. Gross family in Huron were all taken to the hospital because they all became sick; it's supposed they must have eaten something that poisoned their system. A 4 year old boy died and the mother and 6 children are still in the hospital but Mr. Gross was able to leave the hospital. This is indeed a sad case."
