TWO KILLED, SEVEN INJURED IN CRASH NEAR MORRIS, MAN.
Altona, Manitoba. — Two men were killed and seven other persons injured when an auto carrying three families collided with a truck loaded with ice blocks north of here Jan. 16.
Killed were Ralph Groening, 53, of Winnipeg and Agustin Rios, 23, a Mexican student at the University of Manitoba. The injured included Mrs. Groening, son and daughter, Mrs. Rios and 18-month-old daughter, and another university student and his wife from Chile.
The Groenings and their friends were returning from a visit with relatives at Lowe Farm. The driver of the truck, 18-year-old Lloyd Penner, and his brother were not seriously hurt.
