Former Mennonite Pastor Dies at 73

Minneapolis—Ellis Graber, former pastor of Mennonite churches in Pennsylvania and Ohio, died recently at a Minneapolis hospital. He was 73.

Graber was pastor at First Congregational Church, Princeton, Minn., at the time of his death.

He was pastor of Zion Mennonite Church, Souderton, Pa., 1944-1959, Union Congregational Church, St. Paul, Minn., 1959-1974, and First Mennonite Church, Bluffton, Ohio, 1976-1983. He served as supply pastor at First Mennonite Church, Minneapolis, 1974-76.

He was a graduate of Hartford Theological Seminary and was ordained to the ministry in 1944.

He was a native of Marion, S. D. Survivors include his wife, Delpha (Waltner), four children and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at First Congregational Church, Princeton, Minn. Interment was in Salem-Zion Mennonite Cemetery, Freeman, S. D.

Ellis Graber, 73, died Feb. 26 in Foley, Minn., from head injuries as the result of a car-tractor accident in January. He pastored Zion Church, Souderton, Pa; First Church, Bluffton, Ohio; Faith Church, Minneapolis, and two Congregational churches. He is survived by his wife, Delpha, of Foley; children Eric and Sue Graber, Minneapolis, Conne Goter, Riverside, Calif., Joan and Bill Brauen, Foley, Karen and D. J. Simos, Newton, Kan., seven grandchildren, three sisters and one brother.
