FRANCIS S. GRABER
Francis S. Grber, 68, was born in Davis County, Indiana on Feb. 2, 1906 to John and Susan Stoll Graber. He went to be wit the Lord on Nov. 19, 1974.
He was in apparent good health and never complained of any illness prior to one day before his passing when he was taken to the hospital for tests. He died there the following morning from a heart condition.
He was a retired building contractor and farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Verda; three sons, Allen of Auburn, Ind., Dwight of Ft. Wayne, and Carl of Indianapolis, two daughters, mrs. Geraldine Kulp of Syracuse, N. Y. and Mrs. Joyce Swartz of Spencerville, Ind.; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; three brothers, Ben of Grabill, Ind., Henry and Elmer, and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Knepp, all of Davis county, Indiana.
He and his wife had nearly 45 happy years together, bringing up their five children and serving as hosts to 13 trainees from five different countries through the MCC Trainee Program. Another highlight of their married life was serving as house parents and unit leaders in the Voluntary Service program at Richmond, Va. for one year.
He loved and enjoyed his family and had a real concern for each one.
He was a member of North Leo Mennonite Church, where funeral services were conducted by pastors Alvin Beachy, Don Klippenstein, and Earl Hartman. His body was laid to rest in the Leo Mennonite Cemetery.
