Doctor Victim of Plane Crash in New Mexico

Mt. Lake, Minn. — The bodies of Dr. George Goossen, 37, and his 36-year-old companion, Kenneth Munn, both of Las Cruces, New Mexico, were recovered recently from the wreckage of their light plane which crashed into the side of a canyon about 70 miles northeast of Las Cruces. The plane, with Dr. Goossen at the controls had been missing since Oct. 24.

Among the doctor's survivors are three brothers, Harvey Goossen of Mt. Lake, Dr. Carl Goossen of Minneapolis, and Dr. Chester Goossen of Wisconsin.

The two men were on a flight to Nebraska when the plane crashed into the side of Cathy Canyon on Sacremento [sic Sacramento] Peak. The wreckage was discovered 19 days later by a deer hunter from Cloudcroft, N. M. Earlier, planes had searched the area for about a week without success.
