MRS. NETA GOOSEN

Neta Goosen nee Siemens was born August 10, 1894 in Wernershof, South Russia, where she spent a part of her childhood, moving later to Terek with her family and then fleeing back to Wernershof again in 1918, during the time of the Revolution. In 1921 Neta was baptized upon her confession of faith and accepted into the Alliance Church.

In 1924 she came to Canada with her parents and settled with them near Pigeon Lake, Man., joining the Springstein Mennonite Brethren Church.

In November, 1942, she was married to Jacob Goosen of Kingsville, Ontario and joined the Mennonite Brethren church at Leamington, of which she was a member until her death.

She passed away October 23 at the age of 71 years after a prolonged period of illness. She is survived by her husband, two step-daughters and their families, and two brothers and one sister in Manitoba.
