Ministerial Student Fatally Injured

Hillsboro, Kan. — Leoncio Gonzales, ministerial student from Reynosa, Mexico, suffered a brain concussion in an automobile accident in northern Mexico on Jan. 10 and died two days later, it has been learned here.

Gonzales was the only Mennonite Brethren student in the area studying for ministerial work at this time and was regarded as a promising worker in the church. He leaves a widow, a boy of four and a baby. ' This message was telephoned to Mennonite Brethren Missions/Services office by Richard Wiens. Serving in Guadalajara, these men went to Reynosa in response to this tragedy. Reynosa is in the vicinity of Brownsville, Texas.

Gonzales and other students were returning from a service when the accident occurred. They are studying in a Bible school in Monclova in northern Mexico.
