INMAN FARMER KILLED BY ELECTRICAL SHOCK BASEMENT OF HOME
Inman, Kansas. — Henry L. Goertzen, well known farmer of this community, was accidentally electrocuted at his home six mile southeast of here Monday evening August 7.
Mr. Goertzen received the fatal shock as he plugged in an electric motor while standing in water he had planned to pump out of the basement. He was rushed to the McPherson Hospital, where two-hour-long resuscitation efforts failed to revive him. He was in his early 40's.
Mr. Goertzen was a member of the Buhler M. B. church. He is survived by his wife, the former Frieda Schroeder, and several children.
