Bethel professor, museum director dies at 84

MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. — Oswald H. "Ozzie" Goering, a former Bethel College professor of physical education and director of Kauffman Museum, died Fe. 1 at The Cedars. He was 84.

Goering served in several roles at Bethel in the late 1950s, late 1970s and early '80s.

From 1954 to 1959, he was dean of men, director of recreation and a professor of physical education.

From Bethel he went to Northern Illinois University, where he was a professor of outdoor teacher educaiton for 20 years. Returning to Bethel in 1979, he served as a professor of
