— Joe D. C. Goering, 88, lifelong resident of the Moundridge community and a retired farmer, died July 28 at the Memorial Home there. Funeral services were held at 5 p.m. Friday at the Eden Mennonite Church, with Rev. Walter Neufeld and Dr. H. A. Fast officiating. Mr. Goering married Matilda Zerger at Moundridge in 1904, and she died in March 1969. Surviving are four sons, Milton of Inman, Alvin of Neodesha, Raymond of Salina, and Joe Jr. of McPherson; three daughters, Mrs. Ed. J. B. Stucky of McPherson, Mrs. Orlo Kaufman of Gulfport, Miss., and Mrs. Homer Wedel of Moundridge; a sister, Mrs. Maria Waltner of Moundridge; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
