| + | Dean loved life and made friends easily. He had many interests and hobbies, among which was his interest in FFA work. It was in pursuit of such activities that he met accidental death on Jan. 16, 1965. He reached the agof 14 years, 10 months and 19 days. |

Gunshot Wound Fatal To Kansas Farm Youth
Moundridge, Kan. — Fourteen-year-old Dean Lester Goering, died Saturday in a hunting accident at the farm of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lester H. Goering, southwest of Moundridge.
The youth had gone hunting alone, and apparently the gun discharged as he was crossing a fence. When he failed to return home, his lifeless body was found by his father.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Eden Mennonite Church, of which he was a member. He was a freshman at Moundridge High School.
Survivors in addition to the parents include two sisters, a brother Lonnie in Leopoldville, Congo, and the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Goering of Moundridge and Mr. and Mrs. Val W. Krehbiel of McPherson.
