Eighteen Year Old Youth Killed Under Ensilage Cutter
MERLIN J. GOERING FATALLY INJURED THURSDAY AT HOME NEAR GALVA
Moundridge, Kansas. — A large funeral was held at the Hopefield church near here Saturday, March 11, for Merlin J. Goering, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe J. Goering, who was killed Thursday in an accident at his home four miles south of Galva.
Merlin had been repairing an ensilage cutter which in some way fell over on him, crushing him to death. He evidently had been dead for some time when the accident was discovered.
Besides his parents, the youth is survived by an older sister and five brothers.
