— C. B. Goering, living northeast Newton, was in town Tuesday and reported the death of Mrs. John C. Goering of Elyria, which occurred last Sunday night. Mrs. Goering was one of the well-known residents of the Elyria and Moundridge community. She had suffered an attack of appendicitis and later submitted to an operation, which however was unsuccessful. Funeral services are being held at the Eden church at Moundridge this afternoon. A large family and a wide circle of friends mourn her untimely death.
