South Dakota Father, Daughter Die in Crossing Accident

Marion, S. D. — An automobile-train crash at the west edge of Bridgewater on Monday evening, April 17, claimed the lives of Elmer A. Glanzer, 46, and his seven-year-old daughter, Kiela Maree.

Mrs. Glanzer was taken to the Freeman Hospital with serious injuries, while 10-year-old Lonnie Ray Glanzer was not believed seriously hurt.

Tracks of the Northwestern Railroad pass through town in a northwesterly direction, and the car driven by Mrs. Glanzer reportedly collided with the engine of a freight train where the tracks cross a street at an angle.
