Nannie Delilah Yoder, third daughter of Jacob and Malinda Warye Yoder, was born in Lagrange County, Indiana, near Sturgis, Mich.; on March 14, 1882, and passed away at the Pleasantview Home, Kalona, Iowa, on Jan. 23, 1968, at the age of 85 years.

She accepted Christ as her Savior in youth and was baptized by her grandfather, Bishop Christian Warye, in the English River near Kalona, Iowa. Her faith in Christ became the center of her daily life and testimony until her death. She was a member of the West Union Mennonite Church.

On Sept. 17, 1905, she married Amos J. Gingerich at Kalona, and shared with him a long and active life until his death in 1962. At the time of his ordination to the Christian ministry in 1909, they moved to Versailles, Mo., where they lived nearly 25 years before moving to Hesston, Kan. After six years in Kansas, they moved to Williamsburg, Iowa and later retired at Parnell, Iowa.

Ten children were born to the family. All are living to mourn the passing of their mother. They are Charity (Mrs. Menno Troyer) of La Junta, Colo.; Leroy of Versailles, Mo.; Fred of Alpha, Minn.; Truman of Parnell, Iowa; Eunice Mae (Mrs. Eunice Histand) of Brooksville, Miss; Paul of Williamsburg, Iowa; Orie of Iowa City, Iowa; Lois (Mrs. Wallace Bender) of Parnell, Iowa; Simon of Elkhart, Ind.; and Clayton of La Junta, Colo. Thirty-nine grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren survive. One grandson and two great-grandchildren are deceased.

Mrs. Gingerich was born the third in a family of eight children, five of whom survive. They are Mary (Mrs. Chauncey Hershberger), Emma (Mrs. J. P. Miller), Miss Clara Yoder, Chris A. Yoder, and Oliver J. Yoder. Saloma (Mrs. A. I. Yoder) and Truman Yoder preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Jan. 26, 1968, at the West Union Mennonite Church, in charge of Herman Ropp and Emery Hochstetler. Burial was in the West Union cemetery.

MRS. AMOS GINGERICH
