At the time of his ordination to the Christian ministry in 1909, they moved to Versailles, Mo., where they lived nearly 25 years before moving to Hesston, Kan. After six years in Kansas, they moved to Williamsburg, Iowa and later retired at Parnell, Iowa.

Mrs. Gingerich was born the third in a family of eight children, five of whom survive. They are Mary (Mrs. Chauncey Hershberger), Emma (Mrs. J. P. Miller), Miss Clara Yoder, Chris A. Yoder, and Oliver J. Yoder. Saloma (Mrs. A. I. Yoder) and Truman Yoder preceded her in death.
