THREE KILLED WHEN TAXI CRASHES THROUGH BRIDGE RAILING
Burton, Ohio. — A taxi skidded on the icy road and crashed through a guard rail into the Grande River Jan. 4, killing Mrs. Ada Gingerich and the taxi driver and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Bruggman of Parkman.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gingerich were conducted in the Amish community here on Jan. 8.
Her husband, Jonas Gingerich, also was a passenger in the taxi and narrowly escaped with his life. He remained in the car, in water up to his chest and threatened by gas fumes, but was finally rescued.
