text of obituary:
Nee Voth, wife of brother Gerhard W. Giesbrecht, died Feb. 8th, 1929, at her home west of Montezuma, Kansas. She was born near Halstead, Kansas, Sept. 10, 1899. Has reached the age of 29 years, 4 months and 29 days. She took sick after giving birth to a child, and blood poison set in which caused her much suffering for 121 days, and finally also caused her death. She was married to brother Gerhard W. Geisbrecht at Montezuma, Kansas, May 22, 1921. They lived together for 7 years, 8 months and 29 days in their married life. to this union 5 children were born, 4 sons and one daughter, who now are left without a mother to care for them. The sister was converted and added to the fellowship of the Saints through baptism and laying on of hands, Jan. 11, 1920. Has been a faithful mother to her family, and a faithful sister to the church unto her death, and now leaves to mourn her early departure her deeply bereaved husband, 5 children, parents from both sides, (Tobias Voth, her parents), (Gerhard k. Beisbracht, his parents), two brothers and three sisters, as well as many relatives and a host of friends, who now with sadness of heart look into the future, wondering how it now shall go with the brother her husband, and the five little children, but yet the dear sister Lena has left a comforting word of consolation for all of them, telling them just before she passed away that she now saw the Lord coming, who would take her to that eternal home of rest, where she forever would be with her Lord. funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, Feb. 10, 1929 at the Montezuma Mennonite church, northwest from Montezuma, Kansas. Rev. A. G. Enns from Inman, Kansas, and Rev. John A. Koehn from Monetezuma spoke from the words Job. 14, 1-2. The remains were laid to rest in the nearby cemetary [sic].
