Five children survive: Mrs. Samuel (Florence) Egli, Mervin, Melvin. Kenneth, and Lloyd, all of whom reside in Crawford County, Pennsylvania where he had made his home the past 31 years. Also surviving is one sister, Mrs. Aaron (Fannie) Erb of Zurich, Ont.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Two brothers, two sisters, and three grandsons preceded him in death.

Father was privileged to see all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren the last two weeks of his life. Although in failing health for several years, death came suddenly after an illness of one day, a blood clot in the heart being the immediate cause. Funeral services were held April 21, 1969 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Conneaut Lake, Pa., with Rev. Harvey Schrock officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.
