Emma Gingerich Gerber, daughter of Daniel and Lydia (Gingerich) Gingerich, was born on July 7, 1895 at Zurich, Ontario where she grew to young womanhood. She accepted Christ as her savior and was baptized at an early age.

She was married on Sept. 12, 1912 to Valentine Gerber at Zurich, Ontario. For the past 31 years she resided in Crawford County, Pennsylvania and was a member of the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, Conneaut Lake.

She is survived by five children, Florence (Mrs. Samuel Egli), Mervin, Melvin, Kenneth, and Lloyd, all of whom reside in Crawford County; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandsons.

Mother was deeply concerned for the spiritual welfare of her children and grandchildren, and spent many hours in prayer in their behalf. The last week of her life she counselled each of her children from her deathbed. She was fully prepared for her final homegoing, requesting her family to pray that it would be soon. She patiently bore her suffering, and loving hands ministered to her needs. She was concerned for the welfare of the church she loved, and appreciated the love, concern, and fellowship of fellow believers.

Death came peacefully on April 12, 1969 at her home. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Harvey Schrock at the Sunnyside Church, Conneaut Lake, on April 15, 1969. She was buried in the church cemetery. Pall bearers were four nephews and two grandsons.

MRS. VALENTINE GERBER
