It is believed he fell asleep while driving.

Pennsylvania Youth Dies in Collision

Adamsville, Pa. — This community was saddened by the accidental death of David Alan Gerber, 18-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Gerber, who met instant death on Sunday morning, Oct. 18, when his car collided head on with a tractor-trailer rig three miles from his home. It is believed he fell asleep while driving.

The funeral service was held Oct. 21 at the Sunnyside Mennonite Church, where David was an active member.
