MAGDALENA GERBER

Magdalena Gerber, daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Schwartz) Gerber, was born Dec. 20, 1894, near Harper, Kansas and passed away on Feb. 10, 1961 at the Joslin Hospital in Harper. Death followed a cerebral hemorrhage. Her age was 66 years, one month and 21 days.

She accepted Christ as her Savior and united with the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Sarah and Lydia, (Mrs. R. M. Weaver); one brother, Joe, and a brother who died in infancy. Surviving are one sister, Amanda, with whom she made her home, and one brother, Edward, also nine nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 1961, in the Pleasant Valley Mennonite Church with interment in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Services were in charge of the pastor, James Detweiler.
