Mrs. Sarah S. Geiger, 92, died Thursday evening, Jan. 12, at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel. Mrs. Geiger had been a resident of North Newton since 1941, after having lived at Bluffton, Ohio most of her life. In recent years she had made her home with a daughter, Mrs. Eva Harshbarger, who survives with two other daughters, Mrs. Karl (Mabel) Nordstrom of Ridgewook, N. J. and Mrs. J. Winfield (Marguerite) Fretz of Waterloo, Ontario, as well as 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Saturday forenoon at the Bethel College Church by the pastor, Rev. Russell Mast. The body was then sent to Bluffton for final services on Monday at the Basinger Funeral Home and burial in the Zion Cemetery at the side of her husband, Calvin Geiger. Mrs. Harshbarger and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Topham went to Bluffton by train for the burial, Mrs. Topham being a granddaughter of Mrs. Geiger.
