MONROE GEIGER

Monroe Geiger, 73, of Route 1, Pandora, Ohio died May 10 in Lima Memorial hospital. He was seriously ill for six weeks.

Born May 29, 1893 in Riley Township, Putnam County, he was the son of Aaron and Annie Moser Geiger. He married Anna Hostetler in 1921 and she survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Mahlon of Pandora, and Rev. Wallace Geiger, Orsay, France; three daughters, Treva, Republique du Mali, West Africa, Mrs. Peter (Lois) Voran, Kysuhu [sic Kyushu], Japan, and Mrs. Henry (Wava) Wiens, Mountain Lake, Minn.; sisters, Mrs. Clarence Grismore, Pandora, and Mrs. Ellen Knight, Sheridan, Ill.; and 12 grandchildren. a sister is deceased.

A retired farmer, Mr. Geiger was a member of the St. John Mennonite Church and was a church officer for many years.

Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. John Church. Rev. Richard Tschetter, assisted by the Rev. John Suderman, officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.
