MRS. JOHN S. GEIGER, the daughter of Noah and Veronica (Christner) Bechtel, was born at New Hamburg, Ont. on March 4, 1859, and died at her late home at Pandora, Ohio, April 18, 1938, aged 79 years, one month and 14 days. Nov. 29, 1881 she was united in marriage with John S. Geiger of Pandora, Ohio, and since the time of her marriage she has lived in this community. Six years ago last Thanksgiving Day, Mr. and Mrs. Geiger celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in company with their children, grandchildren and other near relative and friends. Eight children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Geiger, of whom seven survive their mother. Four live in this community and three have located outside the home community. Mrs. Geiger in early life became a Christian and joined the Mennonite Church. She was a devoted member of the Grace Church for many years, loved and esteemed for her beautiful Christian life. Funeral services were conducted at the Grace Church, April 20th. Rev. Paul E. Whitmer officiating.
