Measles Cause Death Of Aged Couple
Dayton, Va. — There has been an outbreak of "flu” in this community. Although it has not proven to be of a severe nature, many schools have been closed and others have had very low attendance.
Measles are also prevalent, and caused the death of an aged couple only an hour apart. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Geer, members of the Mt. Herman Mennonite church, contracted the disease and pneumonia developed later, causing their deaths. They were 76 years of age.
Funeral services were conducted by J. E. Kurtz of Harrisonburg.
