One Dead, Nine Hurt In Orrville, O. Crash

Orrville, Ohio. — One person was killed and nine were injured in a three-car collision at an intersection five miles west of here on July 24.

Dead is Marland W. (Pete) Garber, 63, native of Elkhart County, Ind. and a resident here the past 27 years. Funeral services were held July 27 at the Methodist church here, where he had been a member for a number of years.

Mr. Garber was born near Goshen, Ind., the son of Min. Martin and Elva Garber of the Mennonite Church. He was engaged in the oil well drilling business in the Wooster area. Surviving are his wife, a son J. D. Garber of Elkhart, Ind., and four grandchildren.

The nine persons injured in the crash are all recovering.
