FINAL SERVICES FOR AGED DOCTOR, OLDEST RESIDENT OF KANSAS COMMUNITY

Hillsboro, Kansas. — Funeral services took place here on June 4 for Dr. C. C. Funk, a long-time practicing physician in this community who passed away at the local hospital on Saturday morning, May 31, at the age of 95. He was the oldest resident of Hillsboro.

Dr. Funk remained active until about six weeks before his death, when his health began to fail, and he carried on a limited practice until the day he became ill. He was widely known because of his long years in the medical profession here.

The final services were held at the Goertz Funeral Home and the Mennonite Brethren church.
