BERNHARD P. FUNK

Bernhard (Ben, Bernie) P. Funk passed away June 5. He was born May 7, 1936 to Peter B.R. and Margaret Funk near Altona, Man. He accepted Christ in his late teens. He married Ella Hildebrand of Rosenfeld, Man. May 20, 1962. They lived near Lowe Farm, Man., then moved to Cartwright, Man. in 1964, where they farmed for over 27 years. In 1992 they moved to Kaleida, Man., where he farmed and spent his free time with carpentry and with family and friends. He was active in church wherever he lived. His favourite Bible verse was Phil. 4:13. He is mourned by Ella; sons Garry and Cal; 1 granddaughter; 1 sister and 3 brothers. The funeral was June 9 in Westside Community Church, Morden, Man., with John Nikkel and Frank Peters ministering.
