JAPANESE CHRISTIAN CALLED BY DEATH

Newton, Kan. — The funeral of Mrs. Tei Fukuda, long a leader in church women's activities in Miyazaki Prefecture in Japan, was held recently at the Central United Church of Christ in Miyazaki, according to word received here from Missionary Robert Ramseyer.

Mrs. Fukuda was the mother of Ted Fukuda, who attended Bethel College and Hartford Theological Seminary with assistance from the General Conference Board of Missions. She had been a Christian for 60 years.
