Buhler, Kan. &#8212; Separate funeral services were conducted in this community Tuesday for Cornelius B. Froese, 75, farmer here, and his 11-year-old grandson, Michael Froese, who were killed in a two-truck crash on US-54 near Kingman Saturday night.

The pick-up truck driven by the grandfather came onto the busy federal highway from a state highway and was hit broadside by a tractor-trailer. The other driver was not hurt.

The funeral of Michael, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Froese of Buhler, was held Tuesday forenoon at the Buhler Mennonite Church, with Rev. Harold Thieszen officiating. In the afternoon, services for Mr. Froese were conducted at the Hoffnungsau Church, with Rev. T. A. van der Smissen and Rev. Thieszen in charge.

Buhler, Kan. Farmer and Grandson Killed in Truck Collision

Buhler, Kan. — Separate funeral services were conducted in this community Tuesday for Cornelius B. Froese, 75, farmer here, and his 11-year-old grandson, Michael Froese, who were killed in a two-truck crash on US-54 near Kingman Saturday night.

The pick-up truck driven by the grandfather came onto the busy federal highway from a state highway and was hit broadside by a tractor-trailer. The other driver was not hurt.

The funeral of Michael, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Froese of Buhler, was held Tuesday forenoon at the Buhler Mennonite Church, with Rev. Harold Thieszen officiating. In the afternoon, services for Mr. Froese were conducted at the Hoffnungsau Church, with Rev. T. A. van der Smissen and Rev. Thieszen in charge.

Besides his parents, Michael leaves three sisters.
