2,000 Attend Funeral Of Manitoba Bishop

Altona, Manitoba. — About 2,000 persons attended funeral services recently for Jacob J. Froese, 82, widely known bishop of the Old Colony Church in Manitoba. The service was held at the Old Colony church at Chortitz.

Bishop Froese was ordained a minister in 1936 and to the office of bishop the following year. He preached his last sermon on Jan. 6, 1968, and died Jan. 15.
