FARMER KILLED BY TRACTOR

Kane, Manitoba. — A tractor accident claimed the life of Peter H. Friesen, 53, farmer here and the father of six children. Funeral services were held March 17 at the Plum Coulee Bergthaler Mennonite Church.

Mr. Friesen was alone in the machine shed, and it is believed that he attempted to start the tractor while standing in front of a rear wheel. He was found pinned between the tractor wheel and a swather.
