Pete F. Friesen, son of George E. and Helena Friesen, was born on Nov. 22, 1895, at Jansen, Neb. In 1908 the family moved to Meade, where he attended school and spent his youth. While yet in his teens he accepted Christ as his Saviour and Lord, was baptized and became a member of the Evangelical Mennonite Brethren Church of Meade.

On May 28, 1917, he was married to Anna Franz. They settled in Meade County and took up farming, remaining in the area until 1930. They then moved to Dalhart, Texas, with their daughter Virginia. Here they experienced the joys of pioneering, building and helping in a church. After five years of depression they moved to California where he worked in the Goble Disk Works and farmed as a side line.

In 1939 they moved to Dallas, Ore., where he did trucking and worked at various jobs. They joined the E. M. B. Church of Dallas in 1940. He helped along in church in various ways, serving on the church board, singing in the gospel team and church choir.

In recent retirement years they did considerable traveling in a number of states. He enjoyed the fellowship of God's people and participated in church services and Bible conferences. He loved the Lord and longed for heaven. His desire was granted on May 15 when the Lord took him unto Himself after a heart attack.

Mourning his sudden passing are his wife, Mrs. Anna Friesen of Dallas; one daughter, Mrs. Orley (Virginia) Ratzlaff, her husband and three grandsons of Dallas; one brother, Jake F. Friesen of Reedley, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Katie Friesen of Sterling, Ill. &#8212; The family.

PETE F. FRIESEN

Pete F. Friesen, son of George E. and Helena Friesen, was born on Nov. 22, 1895, at Jansen, Neb. In 1908 the family moved to Meade, where he attended school and spent his youth.
