PETER L. FRIESEN

Peter L. Friesen, son of Johann and Maria (Hiebert) Friesen, was born on May 9, 1883, in Hamilton county, Nebr. He spent his boyhood years on the farm and as young man entered the Normal School at Fremont, Nebr.

Upon completing his education he entered the banking business with his brother George in 1904, as bookkeeper and cashier. In 1910 he was elected vice-president of the bank and retained this position till the bank was dissolved. After this he kept up his real estate business till the end.

He was baptized upon the confession of his faith on May 30, 1909, by Elder H. H. Regier of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, and was accepted as a member into the Bethesda church.

About one year ago he had a light hemorrhage which hospitalized him for a time, but eventually he was able to be up and around. On Dec. 8 at about 10 A. M., he was found in an unconscious condition. He was rushed to the General Hospital in York, where his condition was pronounced critical, due to hemorrhage of the brain. He passed from this life on Thursday, Dec. 12, at 12:10 P.M.

He attained an age of 63 years, seven months and three days. He leaves to mourn his departure two brothers: George W. and family and Abraham J. and family, one sister, Mrs. C. C. Dick of Newton, Kansas, and a host of relatives and friends.
