HENRY D. FRIESEN, 83

Henry D. Friesen, 83, of Coaldale, Alta., died on January 12 at the Baptist Haven of Rest, Medicine Hat. Funeral services were held on Jan. 18 in the Coaldale M.B. Church with Rev. Abe Regier and Rev. D. Pankratz officiating. Mr. Friesen was born in Russia, came to Canada in 1913 and settled in Coaldale in 1936. He was well known to many for his German poems. He was predeceased by three children and his wife, who died in 1944. Surviving are 3 sons, 4 daughters, relatives and friends.
